Position: Passenger Service Supervisor (PSS)
Ref: XE1619Location: Lagos, Abuja
Reporting to: Station Manager
Job Summary:
The PSS oversees job duties of the PSE (i.e., assist passengers through arrival and check-in processes; offer support for passengers with special needs such as unaccompanied minors, VIP and wheelchair assistance, handle ticketing, boarding, baggage, reservations, and resolving complaints and problems, direct passengers, etc.).
Core Responsibilities:- Supervise the on-time performance of all passenger and cargo activities with the highest level of service delivery
- Ensure the attainment of Xejet’s on-time departure priority
- oversee all aspects of the station’s operations ensuring safe, punctual, efficient and smooth operations
- function as turnaround and ramp coordinator
- Ensure post flight activities are completed such as compilation and dispatch of TLS, reconciliation of flight coupons and assemble flight file so that future queries can be dealt with
- Supervise Passenger service executives, security personnel, ramp coordinators, and Baggage Handlers etc.
- Ensure that disruptions or unusual situations are attended to safely and legally with minimum risk to the airline
- Ensure that all flights are with correct and appropriate passenger and baggage manifest before departure
- Respond to queries, complaints and claims in an efficient and timely manner in order to restore passenger confidence
- Supervise and coordinates daily activities of employees to ensure safe and effective operations
- Monitor and enforce safe working habits in accordance with stipulated regulations, Unifi policies and safety procedures, and all applicable laws
- Enforce company policies and procedures, including disciplinary action, and promotes Xejet policies on professional conducts, and diversity
- Ensures that all sales reports and flight summaries including flown coupons are sent on time to the appropriate unit / collection office
- Investigate and respond to employee relations issues in a timely manner
- Communicates with manager concerning any problems or issues
- Perform other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities expected for this position.
- Other Duties Assigned
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree honors’ or HND in any field
- A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in airline passenger service
